Hi, Running Scared Army!
Our first show since the Great Substitution is coming up soon. We're playing at Memory Lanes on December 23rd with Colder in Moscow and Pennyroyal. I can't see any reason it won't be a lot of fun. Here's the order of bands:
10:00-Pennyroyal
11:00-Colder in Moscow
12:00-The Running Scared
No cover charge/21+
If you haven't yet, listen to our album Traveler Down over at our Band Camp page. Then when you decide you like it, buy it there, too.

Max. Kirkeide. Plays. Bass.
RS had our first practice with professional new guy bass player Max Kirkeide. All right, Max! Here's a picture of him eating something at a party. See him soon at our as yet unbooked next show!

First!

Welcome to our blog!
Traveler Down is our new album, and it's great. It's available on CD and digital downloads via our BandCamp page.
We had a CD-release party last week that went very well, and it introduced us to three excellent things:
Thing 1: Night Moves. What a sexy band. Gayngs seemed sexy. Now there's Night Moves.
Thing 2: Hell's Kitchen. Yes, they've been doing shows down there for awhile, but it was our first time there. I love the decor, the staff were super-friendly and professional, and the fact that it's a long trip for smokers meant that people were more likely to stay put and watch the band.
Thing 3: Wunky Zine Issue #2. Erica Krumm made a great rock and roll interview zine. The interviews with Teenage Moods, Night Moves, Skoal Kodiak, Is/Is and The Running Scared are more fun and insightful than your standard promotional Q&A. They have a casual lean that makes you feel like you're friends with the bands, rather than just reading their talking points. Pick it up at Treehouse records.
Meanwhile, wait patiently for more RS shows.
